Are you ready to confront the future and the past?

Dive deep into space and experience the story of Robert and Catriona. They are on their way to the DIOMHAIR 16 space station near Jupiter to find out why no one can be reached. After a crash landing, they are on their own and must find a way out using only their wits, their exploratory urges and various tools. During this time, they discover cataclysmic events on the station and learn about mysterious RESONANCES as they come face to face with their tragic past.

Narrative Experience

In this game, 1 - 2 players explore the space station DIOMHAIR 16, collecting notes from the crew members to find out what happened. There are also mysterious resonances in which past experiences of Robert and Catriona are experienced.

In order to explore the DIOMHAIR 16, players are provided with a force-tool that allows them to move objects, as well as a fire extinguisher.

About the Origins of Resonance

Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has been offering the Media Informatics and Interactive Entertainment degree program since 2011 and has been training creative media and computer scientists ever since. The goals and content of this bachelor's degree program are shaped by the current job profile of modern media informatics in the Web 2.0 environment. The program aims to provide graduates with interdisciplinary training in both the disciplines of media technology and media management on the one hand and the core disciplines of computer science on the other.

In the fifth semester, all media informatics students of the class of 2016 participated in a development team of 60 students to create their own video game. After the beta, our own games conference at the university, we are especially proud to present our final project from four months of work to the public. We would like to thank our hardworking team leaders, our amazing project teams, our helpers, friends, family, and everyone else who has given us patience, strength, and trust over the past four months. We are proud of our Resonance and hope you have fun playing it.

I'm really curious as to what's going on here, but the lack of screenshots, my inability to reliably navigate German menus (I speak some, not a lot though) and the server-based nature of the setup are a lot to get through to try it out. It seems there needs to be two players to start? But I can't really tell. Am I missing something or is this mandatory online multiplayer?

Hi CoalFire,
nice to see that you are interested in this years beta game (by a different team of students than last years elemates).
The game has german and english subtitles (currently disabled because of a game breaking bug but this will be fixed in the near future) and a german voice over.

We set out to make a cooperative game. So yes, two players are mandatory.
You can play either via directly connecting using an IP or by using the server browser.
